I'm no longer recieving e-mails on my 9800 torch. When I go to setup and e-mail accounts it says - Your device had a problem connecting to the server.

Standard things. Turn off WiFI use only the cellular network, resend service books, battery pull. If all that fails, I would then recommend calling carrier to make sure that NO changes have been made to your account unknowingly.
First perform a network diagnostics.

If the test fails, you need to call you carrier as it is related to your subscription/SIM.
