    New to Blackberry here and love my Classic, but I am running into an issue with the "Next Event" notification on the lock screen. First off, I am trying to get rid of calendar specific notifications. So it says that I have a birthday event tomorrow (thanks facebook). I went to settings and turned off the notifications from facebook and took away the ability to notify me for birthdays. And it's still on the lock screen. I went to calendar settings and unchecked the facebook app, and it still shows up on my lockscreen. I then deleted my facebook account off from my hub and it is still there. Lastly, looking at the calendar, this apparent "event" isn't even shown on my calendar but it is still up on my lock screen (I have restarted my phone multiple times). What am I missing to get rid of this?!

    Try a hard reset, hold your volume up and down buttons in until you see the blue loading circle, takes about 15 seconds or so

    Check if you actually have the contact in your contacts and if you do, check to see if their facebook info is there. If so delete it. Also check to see if their birthday is also saved. (withdrawl, he already said he restarted many times)

    That's why I said a hard reset, but thanks and did you check the spelling in all of this.

    Thanks for your help, but the hard reset didn't change anythung. Looking at the contact info I have: "call mobile, text mobile, other, and birthday"

    Was able to fix the issue, had to delete every single email account off my hub for it to work though :/
