Unlimited Mobile Access through Rogers, the service provider, allows me to make wifi phone calls. the feature provide by Rogers is "Wi-Fi Calling". I've used this features over a 6 year period with the BB Curve and the BB Bold 9900. I want to upgrade to the BB Passport and Classic but no one at Rogers and tell me whether the new phones are UMA enabled or whether Rogers can provide "Wi-Fi Calling".

There's been a few people asking this but I don't think a definitive answer has ever been found. I'm rolling with no, otherwise the carriers would have some acknowledgement of it. They'd have as it would need to be set up in their system and the certs would need to be loaded.

Rogers in Canada is going to re-launch some sort of wi-fi calling I have been told. UMA/GAN (which has been around since 2005 or so) is slowly being pushed aside for newer standards and especially things like Voice over LTE (converting voice to packets) VoLTE.

The last UMA/GAN phones from BlackBerry were the OS7.1 devices.

    Curve 8320, 8520, 8820, Curve 8900, Pearl 8120 and 8220, Bold 9700, Bold 9780, Torch 9800, Blackberry 9105, 9300, Blackberry Bold 9900

Just to confirm........Rogers told me last year when I moved from my Bold 9900 to the Z30 that the new Blackberry phones didn't have the UMA ability. I have been watching carefully for a new Blackberry phone with this capability as I work from home and have poor reception. Currently I am forced to use Rogers One Number. I need my UMA or something similar back. Does anyone else know of any other options for me?
