Interested in a BlackBerry Bold that has a replaceable battery. So, prior to the Classic - which do you think is the best Bold and why? My limited research shows the 9000 and 9700, 9900 (and other) series were before the Classic... so, which is the best and why.

Unless the 9900 is dirt cheap, don't waste your money. It's like buying a Windows XP or Vista machine.

Get the Passport or Classic. Battery life is great so no need to worry about losing battery part way through the day. Naturally I think the Passport is worth it alone from a spec perspective.

Best Advice, purchase a Classic if you set on a "Tool-Belt" device. The screen is much larger and has much better specs. In some areas the Bold 9900 is more expensive than the Q5 even though it has worse specs.

You do know about the difference in the OS on the BOLDs (BBOS) and the Classic (BB10)?

You do know that the OS on the 9000, 97000 and 9900 is EOL, BlackBerry might issue a security update if needed. But there will be no new features, and what apps there are... are all you will ever see.

Don't know where you live... but as you are "new" to BlackBerry. You'll want to see what the cost are for a BIS Plan from your Carrier. Some markets it is cheaper, and in some markets it is now more expensive. The 9000 series will all require a BIS plan.
