Without knowing your carrier and network you're using, we could only guess. More info would be helpful, here.

That's because your Z30 does not have AT&T's primary LTE band 17. So the LTE you're getting in Orlando is on band 4--AT&T's secondary LTE band.

Technically the seller was right: you do get LTE with it on AT&T, just not everywhere. And for what it's worth, this is the best model for AT&T. There's no other model of the Z30 that will get you more LTE on AT&T than the -5, not unless you manage to find a -1 which you won't.

For AT&T and TMO, yes. But good luck finding one.

Your phone only gets LTE in newer market roll outs such as Orlando (band 4) all the old LTE markets are on band 17 which your phone doesn't not get. Like Raino says you have the same z30 phone that 99% of AT&T's customer are using so you are not alone. I saw only one -1 for sale here in the market place and that got snatched up pretty quickly.

Because they don't own 1700 MHz licenses for every single place. Plus it's arguably less desirable than 700 MHz spectrum anyway.

Raino, don't waste your breath. OP has a one track mind when he asks questions.

Call customer service and ask to speak with someone in the retentions department. They can hook you up with the bands you need.
