    I mailed Viber Team yesterday about problems we are getting using viber. They replied me back and they said the app available on the BBWorld is not a native Blackberry app. It is an Android based app so they can't promise it's full functionality. Further, they added that they have no future plans for developing native BB Viber App soon. I urge all my friends on this forum to mail to viber support tea, to build a native app for us or mail the blackberry support team to bring native viber app with full functionality.

    Just curious what problems are you having with Viber? I use it on my Z10 as I have been communicating with my Girlfriend in Australia as I'm here in HK. The calls will tend to drop out a bit but the WiFi coverage where she is is not fantastic but the call quality is very clear. Rocking 24-7 with my Z10 & 16GB PlayBook.

    I just have to keep in open in the active frame, else it does not rings or there is delayed messages. Other issue I had with it is whenever my wifi disconnects and reconnects after that viber shows no connectivity. So i have to close and start the app again. It is just annoying to keep in acive frame and check it time by time whether it is connected or not.

    Download mobile1 market and download Viber from there using the. Apk

    My friend has it on his Z30 and the app doesn't need to be open in active frame for him to get notifications or calls from Viber.

    I use the version from BBWorld as well. It does not show you the message in the Hub but it does show a notification (ring bell icon) whenever I have new message. And I don't keep it open in active frame.

    but it lets me to get the message late...and calls does not appear if it is not opened

    BTW check your settings in the Viber app..maybe you don't have some setting turned on.

    Hi I got it from BBWorld and I get my messages quickly and it does ring when I get calls. I do not have to keep it open and I have no lag time in receiving calls or messages. As long as I'm in a good WiFi area I do not have any issue with the connection & because I have unlimited data it works fine when not connected to WiFi as well. I do get a notification in the Hub. If all your settings are correct I'm not sure what to tell you. I do believe someone will come up with something for you here as 99.9% of my questions I have received solid answers from everyone. Rocking 24-7 with my Z10 10.2.1.3247

    Yes, as Rafiq suggested post a screenshot of your settings so that I can check if I am going wrong anywhere. This help would be appreciated. And what about reinstalling should I give it a try?

    The Android port available on BBWorld works very well. I have no problem using it on my Z10. I use it everyday, quite often. I have never experienced any issues with it. It is a bit slow but its surely usable. Notifications works well even when the app is closed. I am able to received calls when app not open in active frame. I have no idea why others have problems. Maybe check your wifi or data coverage. All I need from VIber is to update the current app in the BBWorld as it is a bit old. The new version has a great UI.

Not meaning to be difficult but it will be a lot of screen shots for nothing I believe as the settings are very straight forward. Rocking 24-7 with my Z10 & 64GB PlayBook

    OK thanks anyways. I'll try a reinstall and hope this will fix all issues for me. This means everybody is getting notification in realtime. I'll post my results afterwards if it also worked for me. Ok btw what is Show viber status icon in general settings? Should I keep it on or turn it off?

    We aren't getting any updates soon as they told me that they are doing nothing to make any updates for BlackBerry in near future.

    Also in the general page there is a setting for Enhance Connectivity make sure that is on & I have mine set to auto so that Viber stays connected in unstable or blocked networks. I hope some of this has been helpful.
