had not backed it up for 1 year! how can I save my childs life story and contacts
You're pretty much screwed unless you can get the password right on the last attempt. Even if you were to hook it up to Link and try and back up, it would ask for your password.
Backups are crucial.

Why don't you know your password?

If you used a Google account, chances are your contacts may be backed up. Also, if a memory card was present, perhaps your photographs are there. Aside from that, in the future, you should at the very minimum back up your phone once a month via BlackBerry Link.
You could also write down your BlackBerry password someplace if you feel you're prone to forgetting it again. For example, if you used 1234, then hide it in an address book as the last four of a telephone number for Mr Berry - (555)345-1234 or something like that... good luck.

Instead of Mr Berry, Mr Chen might be a better choice, either way love the idea of of hiding your password that way.

I am usually suspect of these inquiries anyway. I ask the same question. It is easier to loose your keys, than to loose your password.

I am consistently surprised at how often certain people I know, whom I would describe as having great memories, lose their password to an account or device that they access often. I can't recall people's names, but I never forget a face. Some people can't recall passwords, I guess.

Password to your phone that you always input... unless you messed up the picture password! Almost happened to me once.
To OP, there's nothing to do. If your pics were saved on SD card they will be find.
This is so dumb! If you are referring to saving the password in the address book of your phone! If its locked, how can you get into the address book and retrieve the password? I think your advice of writing it down is much better unless you know something that I dont!

No, I am not an 1d10t... I was referring to writing it down in an old fashioned black book agenda with contacts, containing real paper pages,... Sorry if my lack of fully describing it caused you any misunderstanding with the concept.
There are people, such as me, who were born well before the smartphone era. We had to make due with $0.25, archaic pen and paper and phone books with yellow pages as our mobile phones... ;-) we stored hints (aka passwords) in these agendas / organisers.

If you've got your child's life story and your contacts on the phone you must use it regularly enough to remember your password. Not getting this. But if we do not hear from OP again, will.
Probably someone who stole the phone is my guess, if the OP doesn't follow up...
