It is locked at a screen stating "100%"

    "finalizing device setup"

    This could be a catastrophe.

The 10 second hold does not work - there is no such thing as a battery pull on this phone.

    How does one reboot?

    Do a hard reboot....

Worst case is probable you have to reload the OS with an autoloader....

.... I'm sure you did a full backup before allowing the update, if not... yeah it's bad on that front.

I just made a hard reboot - held top button, power and up and down volume for a minute. Had to look i up on google.

It appears to be rebooting .... SUCCESS!

    Good to hear...

I should have clarified the steps for you.
Typically hold the power button down for 20-30 seconds until red LED flashes and the BlackBerry boot logo reappears. I find that easier then the dual volume button hold.

Yeah, that's why I'm in no hurry to autoload. BB10 is shaky enough... Can't risk F'n up my Classic. Need her every day

Probably wise decision....no appreciable gains that I can see and I've lost some function with licensing/ security enhancements.
    Sigh....if I could roll back I would.

10.3.3 forces you to flash the entire OS image (hence 1.6GB download size), all for the sake of a few tweaks like NIAP. Totally inefficient.

I ran the autoloader version of 2049 yesterday. At that point the software version in the "software updates" menu stated 10.3.3.2049.

My phone locked. After a forced restart, the phone self-ran the installed updater. The phone now reads 10.3.3.1359 in the software updates menu.
At also says I have the most recent version. I am not sure what version I started with but the action of the phone suggest that the phone reset to 1359 after a failed installation of 2049. Is that not a "rollback?"

Either way, I suspect I will sit tight as the phone seems to be working just fine now.

1359 and 2049 is one and the same. The Software Release is 1359 and the OS Version is 2049. To check this out go settings/about/category drop down/OS and you will see.
