[CrackBerry Question]

at first my bbm wouldn't open so I restarted my blackberry z10 but the it came up with the red battery saying it was dead, so I put it on charge at first it work but kept freezing on the loading screen, now it wont turn on at all its been on charge for about 14hours ive tried everything I can think of; plugging it into my laptop, removing the batter and sim card then re-inserting them, but I don't wont to wipe it as I really don't want to lose any pictures, contacts etc... any suggestions??????

Check the pattern of the red LED blinks against this list:

That should help ID what the fault is.

Reviving this post because a friend of mine gave me his z10. Error code is as follows:

1101111 which is believe is error 111

Can anyone explain what this might be as the description given through the link above is extremely vague.

Sorry for the delay.

Code 111 generally means there is an issue with the memory on the hardware end.
If that is truly the code you have, then your device will need to be replaced.

Did you ever get a solution to your issue? My Z10 is giving me the same error code from time to time when I reboot it: 1101111. And it also reboots by itself. I tried a security wipe hoping that it will fix it, but after digging more it seems like the issue is with the memory...

My Z10 is has the same error code. But only on rom 10.3
Are you sure about issue with the memory on the hardware ?

I have sent mine back for repairs and if I get any updates back from the technicians I will post the updates here. There's not too much information online about these codes and especially about the one I got. I am wondering now - seeing all the issues with the first take of the official 10.3.1. OS - if it was not caused by it...

The error code for the z10 I have was caused because of a reboot during the 10.3.1 update. Looks like the battery was defective even though it was plugged in while doing the update.

After the the phone went off during the update process I couldn't even get into it for a few days.
