Battery check first. Use BBVE to view battery and charge profile.
Troubleshoot for any excessive drain or parasitic loss. If all looks well it might just be a replacement that's required.
Do a battery pull and check visually for corrosion on contacts in phone and battery.
It can be a software issue and you can try a reset or reload in order to correct it but check the simple things first.
I'm assuming that you are working with a fully charged device and that you are using an appropriate charger.

When it shuts off, is the handset being jarred at all? For both my Q10 and my Z10, I had to remove the back cover and put in a folded up staple against the battery to keep it snug. If the phone was jarred, the battery would lose contact and the phone would reboot.

This is a well known issue with the Z10 and Q10 phones. They don't necessarily need to be jarred to restart. I put a shim in the battery compartment of my Z10 to shore up the connection and it still reboots from time to time just when it's sitting on a desk.
I found that a battery calibration helps but doesn't completely solve it.
I believe the 1400mha battery is just not powerful enough to keep BB10 running properly.

I only experienced reboots if the phone was jarred. Other than that, it stayed on. The shim cured the rebooting issue on both phones.

Where did you dredge up up that incorrect information? It's 1800 mAh.

Try hard reset if it doesn't work then try autoloader even that also failed then probably it is problem with your battery

From my lousy memory. I don't really remember how big it is but I do know it's not enough.
