Hi,my BlackBerry Passport just got screen lift off, right hand side is loose and I clearly can see the phone guts inside...all my attempts to contact BlackBerry Uk by phone lead to nothing,no proper respond. So I will need a bit of help...if any one can help with some info?

You can glue the screen down. There are a few threads on this and the fixes have worked.

The issue with the screen lift is because they used a two faced tape that lets go.

Does that only apply if you bought the phone direct from the BlackBerry store?

    It shouldn't matter.

In Canada and I believe most countries the warranty is 1 year parts and labour.

If purchased through a carrier best bet is to approach them directly . Regardless BlackBerry has a legal requirement to fulfill and they can also be contacted as suggested in preceding post.

Third party retailers can be more of a pain but ultimately a defective device within warranty falls on BlackBerry shoulders.

    I wouldn't see that as a problem.

The problem usually arises when they want to repair device rather than replace and that can lead to delays, loaner issues etc. I would rather get a replacement on the spot.
