I rarely use the internet on my blackberry curve 9360, but it helps itself even when data roaming is off. I travel for work. I had this issue a year or so ago, but cant remember what we did to fix it. I have been billed for 20 for data i have never accessed! How do i stop this happening. If i do a factory reset, will i lose all my phonebook?

    Yes you will.

    You can disable data services.

Plagiarized straight from BlackBerry's official website

From the Home screen of the BlackBerry smartphone, complete the following steps:

    1. Select Manage Connections.
    2. Choose Networks and Connections.
    3. Select Mobile Network.
    4. Choose Data Services and select Off from the drop down menu.

Apparently they had spelled Select wrong, that's kind of hilarious

Turn off data services on the BlackBerry smartphone

    Hope that helps!
