Hi. Try to mute videos and instructios say use mute button on right hand side of the phone. Is this the button in middle of vol up/down? Then if so, this pauses videos not mutes them!!!! Can anyone help. Thanks.

The middle button mutes the playback of an audio recording by pausing it. It does the same with video recordings. If you want to mute a video while watching it, use the bottom button to decrease the volume to zero.

This annoys me too. I want to mute a commercial when watching videos online. turning volume all the way down is not very convenient. Defiantly a feature for future OS. Many things on the PC I take for granted that are not available on BlackBerry or any mobile os yet.

When playing a video/film on passport. The middle button mutes/pauses the film every time.

You may want to go through the device settings, like turn off activate BlackBerry Assistant using mute key and go into Main Music and turn off Music Shortcuts & turn on Always Adjust Music Volume.

Still annoying. I want to mute advertisements. Pausing them doesn't solve it & have to slowly lower the volume then when the adv is over slowly increase the volume sucks.
