Maps: is there a better way to plan a route?
When I got my z30 I used to avoid using the native maps app since before getting the phone, I didn't really get the impression that it was any good from what people were saying. I recently read a forum post where someone was asking if people had noticed how much improved the latest version of maps was. So I decided to give it a shot and I must say it really satisfies all my needs.
However, I mostly use it to give directions for other people, which mostly involves planning a route from a location that is not my own. Anyone who has ever needed to do this will probably know it's a painful experience. You have to search for your destination after which you have to go into the place information view and select plan route from the overflow menu, then searching for the place you'd like to travel from.
What I'd like to know is if there is an easier way to do this from the native maps app?
