    So, My instant preview isnt working, I have it turned on, but i could be wrong about instant preview but, whe I get a text its not showing on the lock screen and I cant figure out for the life of me why..

    Go to Settings > Security and Privacy > Lock Screen. Ensure "Lock Screen Notifications" is toggled to on. That may be the setting you're missing.

    As Elessar said, you mean lockscreen notifications.

    Instant previews are the when the message appears at the top of the screen while using your phone.

    You could try turning lock screen notifications off then exit settings, then turn it back on again. Or if that brings no joy, turn it off, restart phone, then turn it back on. Maybe you get lucky.

    Ok maybe a dumb response, but if you get a notification while the phone is locked and screen is black it will not light up like an i-phone.

    You must swipe up and then hit cancel if you have a password set or hit the power button to make the lock screen appear. Then tap on the message icon to get it to display the preview message. It just shows icons until you actually tap on them.

    Im having the exact same plroblem. Everything is turned on correctly in the settings but nothing. Im wondering is it isn't possibly a notification app affecting it. I did an update on the Color ID app and it started working (finally) about the same time the screen notifications stopped working. I deleted the app but still no joy.
