Google maps keeps issuing notifications to my hub telling me to install google play services. I delete the notification, then it returns in ~15 mins.
    Google play services won't install.

Google maps functions just fine on its own. So how do I shut off the stupid notifications?

Google Maps is sending notifications to the hub that Google Play Services is missing. You can turn off those messages with the following procedure:

Install and run Android Settings, go to apps menu and find Google Maps app
Click on the icon, turn off notifications
