I don't use instagram. I use iGrann and the volume is fine.
I also have 1154 and never have any problem with volume...maybe you need to reload the OS?
my sound levels are fine in igrann but igrann itself is in tatters right now..hope the devel can get it back up to par...I liked it better.

Obviously it's not working for video volume like the last release back on December 17, you can always go back to that APK. I don't use video so I'll stick with it.
