If you mean Settings > OS Update then those are carrier related and you need to wait till your carrier gets off its *** and pushes the update.

Other than that, you can always grab an autoloader (it will wipe your phone clean and install the new OS) or the update files (usually in a Blitz pack) and use Sachesi to install.

All can be found in the Beta/Leaked OS boards.

If you have a branded Z10, i.e. it was locked to a carrier at some point, you're dependent on your carrier to push you the update OR I think the original carrier's update might make its way to you eventually, after they release it (you may have to take your SIM card out and do a check.)

I highly doubt Indian carriers push OSes for STL100-3s since this model is not native to them/India.

Which it won't, because the STL100-3 is not for Indian carriers.

    So, yeah, use an autoloader.

So will an OTA be available eventually when/if the original carrier releases it? If so, will the SIM card have to be taken out to 'dissociate' the phone from the Indian carrier?

I'm not sure if STL100-3s are telepathic like that.

STL100-4s (which also pop up in India for whatever reason) are, though. If Verizon gets around to updating (big if), it should get around to updating a phone in India.

Regardless, the best way is to update on your own terms, with an autoloader or Sachesi.
