    If your talking about seeing blackness where a recently taken pic should be when viewing all the little "squares" or "tiles" in the picture app, try restarting your device and check again.

    Is the black cube in th same position for all your images?? If yes, then there might be a dead pixels in the sensor....

    Also try renaming the pic and put ".jpg" at the end of the name.

    I believe he means that some of his picture thumbnail previews are not showing up in his pictures app, they are just black boxes.

    You can reset your media card by taking it out, restart the device, put card in again and let the device "refresh" the database... I think it is called "indexing" the card. Give it 2-3 minutes and they'll surely be there again

    Sorry for the delay and follow up to this question. On my Q10 the missing picture preview thumbnails was caused by an app called Secure Anti Virus Pro. The fix is either to restart the phone to reindex the pics every time you take a new photo or delete the Secure Anti Virus Pro. I deleted the app.
