[CrackBerry Question]

It may or may not be unlocked.I have the unlock code. Have followed the drill but no change. Does not even ask for number.
Camera works, will reboot.Just locked to emergency calls only.
Any hope?

Hi there,
Tried that no joy.
Took out of Passport where was working fine.
The Priv seems as though it is locked through too many password entries if I did not know better.
Before starting to unlock it was much the same but did ask for a pass word.
I was down to 6 goes before starting the unlock routine
It is possible that it just went on using up attempts and is now totally locked.
It did not appear to react properly to the unlock routine.
Though all done correctly I think.

Unlock code is different from password. Did you buy the phone from someone?

Had IMEI No and Unlockcode code.
No sim, mention of Network or Password. Or network
It seems you are correct the phone is PW locked. Is there any way round this.

PS Did try a Factory reset 32 second hold. All looked exciting. Till it reverted back to emergency calls only again. I am unable. To access settings just as before. Only light etc..

That would be a hard reset. Factory reset would be wipe of the device. Are you able to try that?

What screen are you on? Is it the lock screen or you are able to make it past there but network won't connect?

I can not get beyond the emergency calls only screen.
I am able to swipe down and view a few options Including settings but am unable to access it.
i can swipe up from bottom left or right and get camera (which works). Or another entry screen where the Pw should go.it suggests emergency calls again.
I think I am looking for a sequence of primary Physical actions to Factory reset but what?
I must thank you for your continued help I have an idea there is a way just what?

No it tells you enter "blackbery".
Have tried this,screen then goes blank. Nothing further appears to happen. I have an idea there could be a screen fault.However if left comes back after a whie with the same request.

Typically it tells you to enter " BlackBerry" when you have gone past 10 attempts with the wrong pin / password and it will wipe the device. Maybe it was starting to wipe when it went black. We're you trying to enter a pin prior to get to this point?

Yes so it should wipe now. Did you not know the password? If this was bought second hand and the seller had password protection turned on, even with a wipe, you will only be able to sign in with the original account. Your option would be to ask the seller to give you their Google account credentials as well to set up the phone after it wipes. They can change their google password after but you will then have to go into the phone settings, turn off password protection then wipe again so you can set up with your own account after.

The phone shows nothing. When sim entered never has at any time from start.
I think I ihave Pw only one numeral and one letter.if that is possible.Have tried it in all combination s does not work. I may be able to get the associated BW word. That will be another battle I fear.

I'm really confused as to what is happening here. Can you start from scratch. Did you buy a second hand device that was password protected? Did you try to wipe it? Can you take a picture of the screen you are on?

It shows blackberry at 5th and 9th attempt.
Not at ten. How many attempts left do you have left? It is locked with previous owner's password. Either get password or your money back. Chances are even if you get device password. it will be lock to owners gmail. anti-theft.

You can wipe the device by entering in blackberry then proceeding to wipe the device after the 10th try but you will be stuck at anti-theft again.

You will not be able to use that phone for anything.
