The problem with using a security wipe to create a new BBID is that to do a full back up of my Z10, I need to sign in with, you guessed it, my blackberry ID. So, I'm in a bit of a catch-22.

Security Wipe don't "delete" or "create" your BBID! It only securely wipes your phone, deletes all data.

You can simply use the same BBID email and password that you used on the device previously, and when you open BBWorld you will be able to download all your apps again. If you have any other user data, you need to restore that from your backup.

If you forgot your BBID password, you can go to: https://blackberryid.blackberry.com/bbid/login/ and reset it
