No, random dude whose message and emojis I can't read, I do not want to connect with you over BBM. Usually you don't speak English and that's the only language I can read so I doubt we could have a meaningful connection. I'm sure you're a nice fella but no, I don't use BBM.

You see there are already approximately a hundred ways to reach me already and those are all cross-platform methods that don't rely solely on the brand of phone I have... you see, Blackberry users are a dying breed and an application as platform-specific as BBM has no use. It hasn't for a good many years and to be honest, it was never really that useful.

So please, rather than inviting me to connect using a language I don't understand in an application I don't use, instead, send me instructions on how to Make. It. Stop.

Wipe your device. Start fresh. Never touch BBM. Done.

In BBOS it's easy, use the in-built 'firewall'.

BlackBerry never could be bothered to introduce that functionality into BB10. But it's okay because they are still committed to supporting it and stuff.

BBM is cross-platform for some time now. Not dependent on brand at all.
(not sure what all that extra dialogue is about, but I wonder what would happen if you turned on: Security Question on Invites).
On BB10 I never get invites. Ever. Just my circle of friends and family.

B1aze makes an interesting suggestion though.

Nothing. They still come in as the question is only asked UPON approval.

BBM is cross platform. What device do you have? If it's not a BB10 device then you can just uninstall the app. But i guess if that was the case then you wouldn't think BBM is only available on BlackBerry devices.
