I'm going to Jamaica for a week and don't really want to bring my phone with me (Blackberry Q10). I was wondering if anyone knew of the best way to store it at home? Should I take out the battery and leave it somewhere cool or should I just turn off the phone with the battery inside and leave it be?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Just leave it turned off and plugged in. It won't overcharge, and will be ready for you when you return.

Charge the battery to aprx 60%, switch off your phone, take the battery out.

Do NOT leave it plugged in unattended for that long!

A week is nothing. I bought 3 Z30's back in September for Christmas gifts. So they sat for 3 Months and powered up just fine on Christmas. They all had about 50% charge at power up. Prior to me buying them they likely sat in inventory for months. Lithium batteries should not be stored fully charged. They are normally shipped with about 50%.

Keeping in a cool place is not a bad idea.
