What device/OS/Computer OS? The 'A:0x0000001b' error is SUPER generic and could apply to a number of things.

I'm having the same exact error. I bought the passport silver edition a couple of days ago and wanted to reload the software using link. After a rather long software download, I am getting the The digital signature on the system software is missing or invalid. [A:0x0000001B] error.

My computer is a windows 7 running the 32bit version and my PPSE is currently running 10.3.3.1435 and OS version 2163.

I dont want to download the OS again. Can you please, please help?

I think a reload is the only attempt you have at fixing this.

Ah that! Thanks, @thurask. Will give this a shot. Although I have, at this time, given up the idea since the reason I was doing it was for the battery and I have been getting a consistent 26 hours of use on mobile data with reasonable heavy use. So all good there :-) but I will keep the guide handy and use the autoloader method in a few months I guess thanks again!
