Last time I tried to wipe my BlackBerry Passport it got stuck on 98% for 5 days until I took it to BlackBerry repair, I just want to wipe of my downloaded apps and files not the whole system. Is that possible?

When you wipe make sure you remove sd card first. You can install OS via Link Re check for update, via a OTA from your data service provider or install an autoloader.

I would stay away from the "security wipe" if I were you. Use an autoloader and reinstall your OS back to a new state. You will have to restore your contacts and any apps that you want, but the device will run much smoother and will seem as if new. If you are doing this in order to sell your device, make sure you disable Blackberry Protect using your id and password.
