    i have a blackkberry classic active profile is normal but normal icon has a bell with a cross through it as do all the rest of the profiles and there is no sound

    how do i turn on the sound?

    Is the speaker working?

    Have you rebooted your phone?

    If you go into Setting > Notifications > "Normal" Profile..... Is sould toggled on? Is the slider over towards higher sound level?

    Also, try creating a new Sound Profile. Some people have "modified" their Normal and have inadvertently caused it to actually be silent/vibrate.
