I am not able to get any noise for my notifications, text or calls
What model of phone? It's different on some models.
If it's a BB10 phone, you can try the volume keys on the side first. Push the top (volume up) key and watch the screen. If it says "Notifications Volume" and is going up, set it as high as you want it to be.
If it says "Media Volume" and you don't have the music app or something like YouTube playing you need to change a setting as follows:
1. Swipe down from the top to get to Settings
2. Tap on "Main Volume"
3. Slide the bottom slider "Always Adjust Media Volume" to the left (Off)
4. Back arrow out at the bottom left and close settings.
Now try the volume rockers again and the notification volume should work.
If this doesn't do the trick, you may have accidentally set the phone to silent mode. Check the following:
1. Swipe down from the top to get to Settings.
2. Look closely at the little Notifications bell. Does it have a slash through it and say "Silent" under the word "Notifications"?
3. If it does, tap directly on the bell (NOT the word Notifications). It should toggle to "Normal" and the slash through the bell should disappear.
4. If it does not and says "Normal", let me know and I'll take you through the next steps to see what is wrong.
This is the easiest way to silent your phone when you go somewhere that requires you to silent your phone like a movie or a meeting. Just swipe to settings and tap the bell.
