I have never uploaded my contacts, etc. onto my computer so I don't know how to do this if it is necessary to transfer.

Use the switch device option in link. That should copy everything over. It wouldn't hurt to do a full backup of your torch first.

There is a pretty good "Switch Device" tool in Desktop Link. (Your Torch used BlackBerry Desktop, not Link).

Option 1: You can use LINK to just switch.
Option 2: You can backup your Torch in BlackBerry Desktop and then disconnect it to use LINK to Recover "Legacy" device backup - select that Torch backup and recover it to your Passport.
Option 3: You can use BlackBerry Protect on your Torch to save everything and then do a one-time recover on your Passport to get it all back.

Personally I'd try them in that order.
