Can you see the hard drive of the Z10 if you plug it into a computer from "my computer"?
If you use hotmail, Gmail, yahoo etc for email then setting up the account on the passport might sync up calendars and contacts.
Depends on how you had the Z10 set up.
Not trying to be an a**hole but back up the passport using link every once in a while to prevent this in the future.
Set up BlackBerry Link with out any devices plugged in, then select Device Switch and follow the on screen instructions
