So I searched high and low, and there doesn't seem to be any solid information on this. When using Assistant composing an email or text, how does one insert things like punctuation, a new paragraph, a new sentence, and so on? Without doing so, any messages done via Assistant by speaking, just become one long run-on mess. Anyone know how to do this?

These posts age fast and drop off radar. Thought I'd refresh, in case anyone has some ideas. All comments appreciated.

Speak the punctuation you want. Question mark, period, comma etc.

Punctuation works just as you indicated. Thanks. Anyway to start a new line or paragraph? Tried several ways, but to no avail.

It never read your mind to know where you wanted to put commas, question marks, or exclamation marks.

I'm thinking Assistant should use Victor Borge's spoken punctuation.

Assistant didn't, but voice control did
Not "read your mind" but it recognizes speech - pauses, raising your voice etc..
IIRC The toggle on 10.2.1 was called "auto punctuate "
Pretty sure at least one of the other platform's assistants do auto punctuation (siri, cortana or Google now)

Not sure if it works as I can't test it. But did you're saying enter?

Tried enter, break, new paragraph, new line... All of these spell out the spoken word and don't start a new paragraph. I really appreciate everyone's help. If anyone has succeeded, let us know how. Thanks.

    Oh sorry.
Wish I could be of more help but I don't know what else would work

No problem. Perhaps someone will figure this out, if it's even feasible in the first place.

What are you trying to do? Write a novel with BB Assistant? Why are you concerned about starting a new paragraph?

When writing emails, it is much more organized and professional to insert paragraphs. Helps the recipient read it easier and quicker too.
I insert paragraphs in my emails all the time, it's by nature

I'm doing this in my car via Bluetooth. I'll listen to the incoming message and then I'd like to speak my response. Many of the emails are business related, so the responses need to be professional. Since some of the responses are more than a paragraph, I'm just wondering if starting a new paragraph is with the scope of BA.
