Hello, I have received some BBM Invites from total stranger. How possibly did they know my PIN? There can't be a PIN directory public somewhere, can it? Thx

Every BlackBerry PIN is just a combination of hex values so some spammers just try any combination they can to see if they can get a hit. It's no different than the Indonesian contest scams that people get every now and then. Decline the invitation and move on.

    Maybe someone mistyped?

Maybe someone with your PIN shared it?

Maybe someone has too much time on their hands, was guessing combinations and got lucky?
