The screen doesn't dim while making a phone call at most time. On few occasions when it does dim, it won't turned on again when i move it away from my face until I press the "hold" button on the top. I've run the BlackBerry Virtual Expert and it said the proximity sensor and light sensor are both functional. How can I fix it?

Maybe a restart? This method may or may not fix your issue with the proximity sensor but it's the most easiest.

Run bbve and see if your sensors are working correctly

Try making a phone call hold the phone away from your face. Cover the sensor with your finger does the screen go dim? Then remove your finger. Does the screen come back? If so it could be that you are holding the phone too far away from your ear near the sensor.
