    I get a blackberry from a friend but he lost the sim card and I want to still be able to use internet without a sim card in it .

    You shouldn't need a sim card for the wifi.
    Just turn off the "Network Connections", make sure WiFi is on, and if needed enter the key for the WiFi network, and you should be good to go.
