    Do you mean a text message? If so, yes you can; just long press the specific message you want erased and hit the trash can in the overflow menu.

    Correct. Long-press on the part of the text or the picture and select delete from the menu.

    I wasn't aware of that. Be nice if you could select multiple messages and also lock the ones you didn't want to erase.
