I am still learning to adapt to my BB Z10 Smart phone. I need help deleting an unwanted App from my phone. I tried everthing I know so far... Like push and hold the App (Amazon App that got attached when I upgraded to Blackberry Virtual Expert Version 3.2.2 1020) but to no avail. It would blink but the recycle bin does not come up or attached to the Amazon App. As such, there is no way to delete it. Any ideas? Thanks.

You don't. BlackBerry has that included as a system app now. Once it is there, it will always be there. Even if you do remove the icon somehow, it will return after the next reboot.

is there any way to prevent the Amazon apps from accessing my files etc? If I'm signed out, does that help? I can't believe BB sold us out.

If I sign out of the apps, do they still have access to all my files?

If you sign out of Amazon App Store, those apps I believe will complain and stop functioning completely. Give it a try.

Are you asking about denying permissions for Amazon? If you can turn off permissions, try it. However I find Amazon to be one of the least intrusive apps, compare with something like 1Mobile or Mobogenie. That aside, Amazon is now the number one Android app source -- even over playstore -- with a decent rep. Not sure how including this app "sold us out."
