AFAIK, BlackBerry 10 devices don't add a .rem extension to encrypted files, so I'm not sure what you are describing.

In any case, if you have a Z10, have encrypted the media card and then wiped the device without unencrypting the media card, then you have made the data on the media card inaccessible.

Did you make a backup or sync to cloud storage?

All those files are lost on that card.

The encryption key for the card was wiped along with the device. Wiping your phone explicitly tells you that you will lose access to any contents on your SD card if it's encrypted.
