When I plug my Priv to the USB on my desk top running Windows 7 it shows "blackberry STV100-3" but all the files are empty and the device shows as Portable Media Player. I'm trying to access the camera pictures???

When you plug it in, it should be asking you what you actually want to connect the device as in your dropdown menu. Unless of course, you mistakenly opted to have it always just open the files through Windows the first time you ever plugged it in. In any case, go to settings>storage. Tap on the 3 dots in the right hand corner. Then choose USB Computer Connection. Change it to Camera PTP.
