I have done like I always do and added all my ring tones and notification sounds but I can only get the ring tone I want, as for the notification sounds for emails text messages etc I'm stuck with the boring pain stalled ones help please

i've been trying to get the answer to this one, too.
All it took on my Moto was addition of my sounds to internal storage's Notifications directory and a reboot, but the Priv just isn't playing ball.
Also, assigning an LED notification for general purposes is not so clear.

Ok, it worked!
You need a file manager like X-plore to fo this. Create the followimg directory chain, EXACTLY as typed here:
system\media\audio\notificatons\
Load your audio files and reboot.
