This has to be a joke...
To turn any number into a percentage just multiply by 100, in your head or using any calculator, and write down % next to it.

The easiest way is to just multiply the number by the decimal (100th) of the percent you need. So, for 10% just multiply by 0.10, 56% by 0.56, 5% by 0.05, etc.
However the bb10 calculator has an interesting way of using the built in percentage key. You have to use it like how you would speak common scenarios.
So, if the $30 shirt is 10% off, you would enter 30 - 10 % (i.e. Thirty minus ten percent). The calculator automatically enters the operand after the % key.

I think what he wants to do is calculate lets say the sales tax on an item...it is a bit confusing with the q10 calc
I know it sounds stupid but why does the window on the calculator show 'degrees' and how do you get rid of it?
and how do I use the calculator keys to work of 3.75% of 62000?
It's just how it calculates trigonometric ratios (cosine, sine, tangent). It's either in degrees or in radians, in which case it would switch to "rad" or "radians". That's a very standard calculator thing and you can't "get rid of it", but you can ignore it unless you are dealing with angles and the trig functions on the calculator.
For your example, the easiest thing to do is
62000 x 0.0375

It's actually designed just for this.
Say your meal cost $50 and there is a 10% sales tax on it. To find the total all you have to enter is:
50+10%, and the calculator automatically knows you mean "50 plus ten percent of 50".

Thanks everybody - my new phone is beginning to make sense. Sorry for appearing so dumb!
Try this:
Pull up calculator, type 62000, then hit the multiplication key, then type 3.75, then press the % key, then press = and you should get the answer of 2,325.
