On my tablet, I'm running Windows 8.1 and use Outlook as my email client. I am able to "block" unwanted email right from junk screen. Why can't I do the same thing on passport. Isn't the outlook on passport hooked into that same outlook screen??

No it's not the same "screen"....

    1) Passport is not using the same email client (Microsoft Office Outlook) with the same functionality.

    2) Not sure how your Outlook is setup,or how it pulls data from the email servers - Exchange Server, Active Sync, POP, IMAP, Smoke Signals - the protocols work differently.

Outlook is a full Email Client that has a lot of capabilities (especially when used with Exchange) that a mobile device is not going to offer. Well a mobile device that isn't running Windows and a full version of Office.....
