So I've rummaged through some of our family's old electronic devices that were bagged up to be eventually recycled. And among the flip phones, a trac-phone and one Nokia brick, I found two of my dads blackberries, chief among them a 9650 that can still power on.

Unfortunately since it was a work phone, it's password protected, and he sure as hell doesn't remember it. I've got a limited number of tries before the phone locks up permanently. Any ideas how to bypass the password, or at the worst, do a factory reset?

There's no cracking a password on a BlackBerry. Especially a work device if it's configured on a BES account through an employer.
