I need to transfer the emails on my Bold 9900 to my new Classic. Blackberry so-called support says this can't be done. Surely someone out there has figured out how to do it. Please share the solution. The emails on the Bold are selected emails and not the same universe as emails left on the server.

Forward them to an email account.

When you set up your email accounts on the Classic, just make sure you set the initial sync period to forever.

Thanks. How do I forward over 1000 emails? Can't do it one-by-one.

How does this help me move the 9900 emails to the Classic? This is not the same set of emails saved on the server.

Ok, are they still on the server? If you were to access your account via a pc, would the emails in question still be present?

The problem is that the emails on the 9900 are a different set of emails, including ones I've sent, than on on the server.

Ok, there's a couple of options. The first one is to do a full backup using Desktop Manager on your PC. Install BlackBerry Link and select device switch. You then get the opportunity to use the backup file to transfer items to the classic.

Second option, select the setup app on the classic and choose device switch. You will then be guided through the process without a PC. If I recall correctly, it uses BlackBerry protect to do a one time data transfer I think you do need to backup using BlackBerry protect on the 9900 prior to this though.

So the reference to a "server" is only confusing and not relevant right?
Can you "export" all the emails on the 9900 in a certain format? If you can't do that at all you have little options you know.
