After a few hours of searching forums and trying I'm at a dead end because under "call time" although it shows "0" there's a "reset" option.

Is there another method to check if BB Passport is new?

    (Purchased from Amazon)

    Thanks

It is simple. If you purchased from a reputable outlet, in a sealed package, chances are you have a new unit. Outside of that, the odds are that the unit is not new.
