    You cannot uninstall the Amazon app. Best you can do is make sure you are logged out of your account (if you have one), turn off all notifications, automatic updates etc, and shove the app icon into a junk folder somewhere on your desktop.

    Or next time you do a clean install of the OS... just never open the app, and throw it and any other apps you find useless into a junk folder.

    One think I like about Android... even if you can't remove an APP, you can disable it.

    You can also in Settings, Security and Privacy, Select Parental Controls and block Amazon. You will no longer get notifications.

    You can't uninstall it through Chrome's Add-on "BB10 / Playbook Manager" but for some strange reason, when You reboot your phone, Amazon will intall again itself
