I stuck my Priv in my back pocket & it deleted my To Do List note. How can I recover it?

Local notes aren't backed up. Only if it's connected to a supported service (Exchange ActiveSync or something like that), or if you were using a cloud based service (Evernote, etc.) would it be backed up.

Where do the Notes files live and what are their extensions? Is there a trash folder somewhere?

I'm assuming they live in the protected data folder, which is inaccessible without root.

Okay. Found out Notes is backed up by my Google Drive account. After time-consuming drill down, I found out that I can email a request to restore it. I'll let you know what they say.

Well, that didn't work. I would have had to back that file up to my drive account manually. Good to know though for critical files.

Well I guess you don't have to do them anymore. But if you never backed it up I don't think there is a way to get them back
