    Hi folks.
I have a Blackberry and my phone has problem right now, so I borrowed a friend's Blackberry Curve 4 for use tomorrow (only).

It appears I cannot use any of the phone's features and cannot even make phone calls until I login a Blackberry ID.
I do not have my friend's ID and they are asking me to WIPE the phone in order to allow my own BBID.

So first I need to know how much of my friend's phone would be wiped?
emails, apps, stored phone numbers & pins, etc

I also wish to know how I can share the use of my friend's phone without having to wipe any of his data.

    Thanks

Everything in the phone will be erased, but not on memory card.

And of course no email or contact stored I. The cloud (Gmail/yahoo etc) will be touched

Just the phone itself, all setting and all dat.

When you give it back they will have to wipe it again, login with their own bbid, reinstall apps, configure etc.. Or.. Restore from a backup. However, in some cases the restored does not do a too good job ..

That is a troubling situation. Does your friend know that by lending you their device, ALL their data will be gone. Plus, without a back up on their part, there is no way to retrieve the information. I wouldn't do it.
