Contact your cell provider to see if there is a procedure or service where your Caller ID can be masked.
Also, if it is not hidden or blocked by your cell provider, from within the Phone App, swipe down from the top and choose Settings:
    1. Tap Show My Number
    2. Switch it off

One has to ask themselves, if I need to hide something should I really be doing it? In the US you can prefix your outbound number with *67 and it will show callerid as private. Depending where you are in the world, there may be something similar.

In my country (Argentina) you insert #31 # followed by the number you want to call.

I think we are out of ideas for you, maybe call your provider and see if you can pay extra for a private number? You could use an app like https://appworld.blackberry.com/webs...97410/?lang=en also. Generally these apps are used for nefarious reasons and discouraged.

The OP's carrier either doesn't support it, or the OP is unwilling to pay. My link specifically states in India it requires an additional feature on the plan.

From my experience, the carrier network might be blocking that feature for security reasons. In my country we use #31 # before the number we are calling and it works but there was a time this feature was blocked due to security reasons.
You may have to call your network customer care line to know more about it.
