    my phone went off by it self but I have the blackberry so long forgot the password and what question I put so why can I get to reset my password with out losing my contacts

    How could you forget something, you have to enter at the longest after an hour of non-use?

    No, there wouldn't be a point in having a password, if you didn't need it to access security settings.
