My blackberry z10 won't start after i dropped it in a very small puddle that wasnt deep at all and got it out within a second, ive never moved so fast. It starts up to when it says 'verifying and securing device' then dies and the whole process is repeated, any ideas?

if you dropped it in water, it needs to be in a bag of rice for a while

You should never consider turning on your device no matter how shallow or how quick you take your device off water. Being submerged still means being submerged in any sense.

Your last hope it to put it in a ziploc with dried rice in it for maybe a day or two and see the results.

As already mentioned, put it in rice with the battery out. Completly cover it. I would leave it for at least 24 hours. Hopefully you did not short circuit something by trying to turn it back on right away.

Everyone are correct but I would suggest you take out the battery and leave it in the rice much longer time like two to three days
