Dear all,

just wondering if there was a workaround to 2 issues I'm having. I have a BB Q10; with work e-mails/calendars synced etc

1) Allow Whatsapp to access my contacts list - I understand a 3rd party application will not have a view on this but is there a workaround? Would I be able to download all my contacts?

2) I am trying to download Enterprise IM to my workspace. It says my Admin can download it. However. I have just spoken to our IT Admin who is in charge of all of this and he literally has 0 idea what I am talking about. I showed him and he insists the app I am talking about doesn't exist etc...Suffice to say, it is worthless asking him.

If your device is connected to a BES and the contacts are synchronised from your work profile you likely won't have the ability to get Whatsapp or any other third party application to access your contacts. I would think that with the very loose permission structure of Whatsapp to begin with that it would be the last app that a BES admin would let through.
